CyMonS

Status date: 20 February 2017

CyMonS offers spatial and high-frequency monitoring of inland surface waters, combined with a 1 to 5 days forecast for cyanobacteria scums. The service integrates hand held monitors (WISP-3), fixed position monitors (EcoWatch) and satellite-based water quality maps to provide data with a high spatial scale. The forecasting model (EWACS) allows timely warnings and actions by the Users.

EMUSER

EMUSER is an innovative obstacle detection system integrated with a satellite Broad Band link for the safety of active level crossings.

EMUSER provides increased resilience in case of natural disasters or damages to the rail infrastructure. It can be installed in areas that are uncovered by conventional communication networks.

SolumScire

SolumScire makes use of latest satellite-, positioning-, remote and proximal sensing technologies to better understand soil and soil conditions in crop production. We collect and combine high resolution satellite and in-situ-soil-data to provide soil spatial information and create a service for farmers to feed spatially resolved soil information automatically into their farm management system (FMS) with the aim to adjust and improve related precision farming activities on their farm.

SatCom W-IFE

High capacity satellites are the key to meeting consumer demand for high speed, high quality and low cost connectivity in the air. Through this SatCom W-IFE ESA activity, ViaSat’s satellite-based in-flight connectivity with Arconics in cabin applications is to provide an evolving range of services to the airborne market.

EOMST

Status date: 23 January 2017

The EOMST system developed by 21Net enables Internet services on board high-speed trains. The system uses multiple communication technologies to access the internet: cellular, WiFi and satellite. A Mobile Access Router manages the links  depending on their availabilities.

The INSUTRAX feasibility study objective is to investigate the technical feasibility and commercial viability of integrated applications utilizing various satellite data sources (GNSS, EO and Satcom) for cargo tracking in support of IT insurance products focusing on Polish insurance market.

SAT-AIS DPC

The SAT-AIS Data Processing Centre (DPC) Demonstrator is a development co-funded by EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency) and ESA. The DPC collects SAT-AIS messages, ancillary information for generating and distributing enhanced data services to the maritime community.
