SatNetMonitor

SatNetMonitor is a vegetation management and infrastructure risk detection service for electricity network companies. Disaster management service module is offered to Distribution Service Operators (DSO).

Unibap is demonstrating the SpaceCloud-as-a-Service (SCaaS) business model and SpaceCloud ecosystem which brings edge, cloud, and storage capabilities with flexible analytics to satellites. SpaceCloud enables low latency, high value actionable information, better optimized and managed downlink bandwidth, and increased satellite utility. This will benefit many different business verticals such as precision agriculture, crisis and disaster management, civil and defence security and environment preservation.

SMS

The project comprises two activity streams:Weather over AIS, which aims to extract weather information from vessels that use AIS to improve weather forecasting in areas where this information is scarce.AIS and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data fusion, which enables the creation of a service for detecting “dark” vessels, creating a wide-area situational awareness solution for public entities.

SMOCGEO

SMOCGEO is enabling a transparent assessment of the sustainability of global commodities supply chains, using geospatial analytics. The project fuses satellite data, geospatial data and machine learning techniques to transform complex climate data into meaningful outcomes for enterprise corporates and financial institutions.

Loss of water through damaged pipes is one of the biggest problems in the global distribution of drinking water. To make leak detection easier, we sell our customers a T.O.M.-System for use by own specialist staff or offer a qualified service for leak detection through Turn-off metering. Necessary information about the pipe network is documented in an online portal.

The MIS Global Events Observer (GEO) applies accurate, real time intelligence of space-based and ground sensor data to teams working across the insurance cycle.  GEO offers unique opportunities for businesses to make informed decisions when selecting, pricing, monitoring, mitigating and assessing risks, and seeks to drive technology into traditional workflows to enhance policyholder service and deliver cost savings and time efficiencies.

New generation satellite technologies (SatNav, SatCom, SatEO) are blended with the latest data intelligence and certification technologies (Edge AI, IoT and DLT) to offer next generation Remote Container Monitoring services (Monitoring-as-a-Service), hence increasing overall food supply chain safety and reliability, in the pursuit of the highest possible final customer “satisfaction”.

GRID

GRID is a web dashboard to help Geopark administrators identify and prepare for natural disasters in UNESCO Global Geoparks. It provides continuously updated satellite Earth Observation data for their area of responsibility in an easy-to-use format, specifically tailored for Geopark users.

StreamSonde

Status date: 28 June 2021

The world’s lightest weather sonde, the StreamSonde, is launched from balloon, airplane, drone or UAV and carried around by natural winds. It records winds at higher accuracy than ever before by using GNSS technology and records a large number of weather parameters with its high-quality sensors. In this project, its benefits for storm and routine weather measurements is demonstrated, along with user benefits of obtaining better weather forecasts.
