The objective of the activity is to design, develop and test a proof of concept for a M2M broadcast system based on commercial-of-the-shelf low-power terrestrial machine-to-machine communication standards. The activity shall use model-based system engineering methodology.The activity shall deliver an end-to-end hardware test bed to validate the broadcast system. This shall includetraffic generation tools, uplink gateway, satellite system emulator and end-user nodes. Furthermore, the activity shall deliver practical guidelines related to the use of model-based system engineering.
Targeted Improvements:Extending todays M2M satellite broadcast systems addressable users from dedicated receivers to millions of terrestrial devices.
